Before an altar decorated with many boquests of white mums and ferns, with tall lighted candelabra in the background, Miss Joan Whilow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claudius Whitlow of 518 Second Stree and Richard K. Utz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Utz of 813 Third Street were united in marriage at 7 o"clock Saturday evening. Nov. 2 at First Baptist church. The Rev. J.H. Hughes officiating at the double ring ceremony. Mrs. J. H. Hughes played a group of fitting organ melodies before the service and Miss Marilyn Cooper, who wore yellow net with a matching headband of yellow roses, sang "Because", "To Each His Own" and "Always". The wedding precession was headed by the little flower girl, Bonnie Jill Whitlow, sister of the bride, who wore a pink net dress with matching headband of pink roses. Dennis Newton Lawyer, the little ring bearer and cousin of the bride, followed. He wore a navy blue suit with a white blouse and carried the rings on a satin pilow. -bridesmaid - Miss Elwanda Taylor, cousin of the bride Ned Sack - best man; ushers were Edwin Lawyer, cousin of the bride and Kenneth Utz, brother of the groom, Clarence Lee Taylor, cousin of the bride, and Raymond Countryman received all the guests
