InTribute.com Mr. John R. Ladegast, aged 62, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday June 8th, 2014. As a lifelong member, he was baptized, confirmed, and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Lois Ladegast and his sister Suzanne Cherry. He is survived by his wife Jill Ladegast, brother Ray (Janet) Ladegast, sons Christopher Tefft, Tim Markanovich, and daughter Judy Burk. John worked for many years as a graphic designer with Corporate Color Graphics. John loved storytelling, cooking with his family, and being an active Lay Minister. John's family lovingly remembers how he enjoyed the Ringing of the Bells at midnight on New Year's Eve. Some of his passions included traveling and singing in the choir at church. Please join the family in celebrating John's life on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 5-8pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 10-11am at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Funeral Service beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund (2 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49503). |
