Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - November 9, 1999 Deceased Name: ROMA ASHBAKER ROGHAAR Roma Ashbaker Roghaar age 77, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born Feb. 28, 1922 in Grace, Idaho to Charles and Esther O. Peterson Ashbaker. Married Ray Roghaar June 2, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. Roma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She served in many capacities in the church. Roma was sweet and selfless and has been described as "an angel". She loved her family -- they were Number One to her. Survived by daughter Kathy Franson; grandchildren Shawn, Shane, Shad, Katie, Jeff, Robert, Ryan and Sarah; great-grandchildren Caden, Delaney and Chloe; sister Ada Harker of Idaho Falls Idaho and many other special family members and friends including daughters-in-law Sandy and Debbie. Preceded in death by her husband, two sons Steven and Curtis, four brothers and six sisters and one great-granddaughter, Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, November 11, 1999 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family desires to thank the staff at Beehive Gardens, where Roma lived, for their loving care. |
