Angeline Steichen 89 St. Cloud May 20, 1909 Apr 26, 1999 Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Angeline M. Steichen, 89, 1810 Minnesota Blvd. SE, who died Monday at St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery, Marty. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m.today at Williams Funeral Home and an hour before services Thursday at the church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 tonight at the funeral home in St. Cloud, followed by Pearl Lake Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 7. Angeline Steichen was born in Kloosterburen, Holland, to John and Margaret (Dekker) Bottema. She married Alfred M. Steichen on June 17, 1931, in Grundy Center, Iowa; he died Aug. 17, 1965. She came to the U.S. with her family aboard the ship Lusitania arriving in New York on Oct. 14, 1910. The family moved to the Marty area in 1939, where she and her husband farmed. She retired to St. Cloud in 1979. She was an honorary member of the Pearl Lake Christian Mothers and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Survivors include her daughters and sons, Mary Ann Eull of St. Michael, Agnes Notch and Kathryn Schueller of St. Cloud, John of St. Joseph, Don of Waite Park, and Dan of Kimball; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Angeline and Marlys T.; and sisters and brothers, Hannah Steichen, Catherine, John and Albert. |
