Kenneth "Kenny" H. Zachman, 70 of Monticello, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 29 at The Church of St. Albert in Albertville. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 28, at the church with a prayer service at 7:30. Visitation continued 1 hr. prior to the service at the church on Monday. Private interment was in St. Albert's Cemetery. Music was provided by Bea Psyk on the organ and Julie Praught as the soloist. Musical selections were "In The Garden," "On Eagles Wing's," "Amazing Grace," "Give Me Jesus," "Ave Maria" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Sarah Valen, Joe Vandal, Abbey Valen, Kayla Vandal, Jared Zachman, Jesse Zachman, Matthew Kisch, Mitchell Zachman, Jennifer Kisch, Kaitlyn Zachman, Jonathan Kisch. Kenny was born in Otsego Township, Wright County, Minnesota to the late Lorenz and Annie (Marx) Zachman. He grew up on a farm and attended school at St. Albert's in Albertville and Elk River High School. He was united in marriage to Margaret Bottema on May 18, 1957. The couple made their home on the family farm where they raised their children. Kenny was a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed farming, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of St. Albert's Catholic Church. His generous and kind spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; children, Patty (Ken) Valen of Princeton, Mike (Dawn) Zachman of Monticello, Michelle Zachman of Minnetonka, Mary (Todd) Vandal of Albertville, Scott (Jeanne) Zachman of Albertville, Cindy (Bill) Kisch of St. Michael; brother, Allen (Bernadette) Zachman of Albertville; 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Kenneth and brother, Ralph. The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family. |
