After they were married they moved to a farm near Manitowac, Wisconsin. They later moved to Ferry Township, Oceana, Michigan where they made their home and farmed until about 1871. They then moved to Claybanks Township, Oceana, Michigan. S1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 35, T 13 N, R 18 W. Wilhelmine died on this farm. Jurgen died at the home of his son Herman 1/2 mile from the old home.
